Speaking of Italian restaurants I think you have a little problem in the list, some places are actually in Siena and not in Modena (like Il Canto).

Excellent work – I read these reviews with pleasure. I’m sure this list is not in the least exhaustive. Do you have any recommendations for Milan? Cracco seems to divide opinion – and Michelin is perhaps not the best way to judge Italian cuisine.

I just found this website & by God, I’m glad I did. Amazing pictures & great reviews. Looking at this list, do you have spare room in one of your suitcases? I’m pretty light, not sure about my weight once the list is completed! Great Site!

since your writing lets me guess a great tongue behind the writing, I wish to send you herewith to Café de l’Ambre in Tokyo. The old Master opened his Café in 1948 and still roastes himself daily, among others old coffees. So I would be very interested in reading what your tongue would say to this place, before I make it to Tokyo myself.

This is an amazing blog, you’ve inspired me. I’m going to eat my way through your list

Missed out on Le Cinq in Paris last month, had to bail out of a reservation last minute, but will be doing Molecular Bar in Tokyo in a week. Trying to squeeze in Jiro but doesn’t look likely.

Keep this going and I’ll try my best to catch up!

Many compliments for your exhaustive reports – they are both intriguing and insightful.

I am in Paris soon and would love a good recommendation for a hidden jewel (ie nothing mentioned in the Guide rouge) but along the same lines of L’Ami Jean or Le Comptoir du Relais – any info would be gratefully digested!
