Hi Sylvia — I’m not sure since I’ve only been in the winter … too cold to open up. But if I recall correctly the room I sat in didn’t have a retractable ceiling.

Its been many years since I’ve dined at Leoyen however I remember that the ceiling opened to the sky….does that still happen?

Had lunch at Ledoyen this past Thursday March 24th 2011. Found the savories, on this specific lunch, to be a bit discrete in terms of gustatory enjoyment. Dessert fared way better and was excellent.I took the 88 euros ‘menu dejeuner” + two classics (Grosses langoustines à l’émulsion d’ agrumes, Toast brulé d’anguille). Service was impeccable. Overall, I’ll go back: that menu dejeuner is an incredible bargain, I found and I also felt really good being there. Please let me know how I can purchase a gift certificate to give to a friiend. About how much would dinner cost?.
Also, are lunch reservations needed months in advance?

Great review again. I’d disagree with Chuck. I think the best way to enjoy Ledoyen is to go for the entirely remarkable 88€ lunch menu, possibly supplemented with a little something from the carte (likely to double the bill, though).
