11:00 -12:00 and 19:00 - 20:00 are best times to call Bigarrade 1st week of teh month they book the next month... the place is still great for the $...
And way more interesting than Agape Substance where I tried this past week...
unless you like the texture of baby food...but that seems the fashion...and prices are almost 3 star level pricing at Agape Substance...and difficult to find a fairly priced bottle..very difficult

I just had dinner there 3 days ago. The food is still amazing. I was lucky to get a reservation with only 2 days notice. It was just an incredible experience, even for a non-foodie. The ingredients were all fairly simple, but prepared with so much artistry. Flavors were layered with great imagination and in such complex ways that I was kept guessing even after getting great descriptions from our waiter. The prices have gone up, and dinner choices are now only dinner or dinner with wine. I think for the price I'd probably stick to the dinner only option in the future, but it was well worth the money to try it at least once.

Hi Cheryl ... tell me about it. My girlfriend is coming to visit in a few weeks and I figured if I called a month to the date I'd be able to get a table. Nope. All seats completely gone. I'm so happy you enjoyed your meal there !

I can't thank you enough for your wonderfully detailed review. This gave me exactly the information I needed to add La Bigarrade to my Paris itinerary. I just enjoyed an exceptional lunch there, and it was better than I could have imagined. If they weren't completely booked, I would be dining there again during my stay.

as talking in the literal sense of the chilled champagne placed in the middle of the room.... but i would agree that champagne paired well in those instances ..the sommelier even operates a bit like alexandre jean at l'astrance ...i mean it again in a literal

Hi la tache -- That's a really good analogy; I agree. Glad to hear you too enjoyed your meal there. I found the emphasis on champagne to be a really nice pairing for the light vegetable and fish-heavy courses.

Great review and I've made this place my first choice for my trip to Paris next month. However, I've had difficulties getting through to make the booking. Did you have any issues calling the number on the website?

Hi Tommy -- Thanks for the kind words and the feedback. Most of the upcoming reviews have videos. It's something we think can better share the experience (and help us to remember it!). I'm sorry you dislike the strikeouts; I find them really funny ! It's something that we like because it can help to express unspoken parts of the experience. But my friends have always told me I have a bad sense of humor so who knows ...

Another excellent review, great pics ans some very insightful commentary. I also like the addition of videos to the review, allowing the reader to truly share the dining experience in everything bar, alas, flavour. However please stop with the crossed out words for 'comic effect', their just annoying and juvenile.
