I am really impressed with the amount of research and work you have put into this site, and as I know you enjoy experiencing new tastes and absorbing new cultures I strongly recommend you that you “faire un voyage gastronomique en espagne”. As you may already know (and I am sure you know) Spain was the top country in quality of restaurants and chefs so right now it is the best moment to expand your knowledge and improve your site with a completely new variety of dishes and places. My name is Britt and I work with Nydia at Nydia’s Yoga Therapy in San Antonio. I’m so sorry we were never able to meet but Nyd asked me to check out this website and I must say… I will never look at my family cookbook or mediocre kitchen the same way. Wow! I’m making a trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles soon would you recommend any specific restaurants in those areas?

Hey Eva, thanks for the compliment! And I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the Paris reports. You should check out l’Arpège, which I finally published today.
My knowledge of French right now doesn’t extend outside of the kitchen, but I can speak Italian decently, so maybe there’s hope one day. That’s cool that you lived in Paris for a bit. It is such a wonderful place; I can’t wait to go back.
I’ve heard good things about that book on eGullet (food nerd website extraordinaire… linked in our blogroll below). And I’m book-hunting right now, in fact. Recently I’ve been reading stuff from Bourdain, Steingarten, Trillin, etc. I like how they are all really knowledgeable but still have a good sense of humor. Let me know what you think of the Lobrano book once you’re done. Maybe it should be my next read!

Hi there, my colleague Sara (Gruber…I think you might know her) :), introduced me to your website. And I must say it’s really fantastic! I was especially pleased to read about your Paris restaurant experiences, since I lived in Paris for a short while, and speak some francais. I just adore Paris! In fact, I’m reading a book right now you might be interested in. It’s called “Hungry For Paris,” by Alexander Lobrano. He’s the European correspondent for Gourmet. OK, well it’s time to leave work.
