I am so excited to find your blog, you truly are inspirational! I have loved to cook for so long, but it took paths in my life to see I want to cook for a living. I created my blog to share my stories, and my passion for food. My ultimate dream is to speak French fluently, and work in France with a chef. I will somehow fulfill my dream, I am one who always gets what she wants. :) I look forward to reading your blog, and enjoying your journey. Thank you for sharing!!!

Take care,

Hi, found you through Twitter and I love your site. I don't know Paris at all but New York and Tokyo have been home to me so, I'll definitely try and check out some of your recommendations when I visit. I'm in London now, there's good eating here too.

Adam,
I think we are kindred spirits, you appreciation of the detail of food is inspirational. It's so true that pomp and ceremony don't make good food. I have been lucky enough to travel and live all over the world and my passion, like you, has always been food. You can find the culture, beliefs, history, ambiance and attitude of a tribe or nation in its food.

Over the next 12 month I will be putting together a website 'for those who really know France', it will be a sort of advance French knowledge site. When we finally get it going I would love to hear your comments.

Stay safe and enjoy your trip.

Hello,

I just wanted to commend you on a great blog! After reading all the restaurant reviews, I wonder how come there is no review of Manresa? It sounds like it's a big favorite. I hope that you will post one some time in the future! Also, I was wondering if either of you had ever tasted the seasonal Lily of the Valley macaron at Laduree? They are my favorite flower, but are poisonous, so I am wondering what Laduree's interpretation of them tastes like....

thanks again for some wonderful reading,

truc

Hi there, I always enjoyed reading your insightful reviews of restaurants; your reviews of eleven madison and chez panisse inspired me to go to both and i had a wonderful time there! Also agreed with l'ambroisie's wonderful food...

If you ever go to osaka, i highly recommend you try kahala. Chef Mori's restaurant only seats 8 people with 2 seatings every evening. He basically cooks and serves everything with the help of only 2 assistants. The meal was the most memorable i've ever had, not only because of the amazing food, but also because of the earnest and eccentric chef, who made me examine and sniff every ingredient before he served it. I'm disappointed that there isn't much fanfare on the net for his restaurant, but i think it's imperative for every food loving person to visit him at least once (before he retires). Here is a link i found that reviewed his restaurant, enjoy!

P.S. the beef mille feuille is the single best dish i have ever had in my life

Traveling with teenagers to Paris - wondering if you can recommend the best bristro, or a place to get simple but delicious steak frites or chicken (not at the price of L'Ami Louis)?
Thanks, enjoyed reading your reviews of Paris' top-end restuarants - agree with much that you have said here.

I am really impressed with the amount of research and work you have put into this site, and as I know you enjoy experiencing new tastes and absorbing new cultures I strongly recommend you that you "faire un voyage gastronomique en espagne". As you may already know (and I am sure you know) Spain was the top country in quality of restaurants and chefs so right now it is the best moment to expand your knowledge and improve your site with a completely new variety of dishes and places. For anyone who is interested in knowing the list of the best restaurants in the world, here is the website http://www.theworlds50best.com/2007_list.html
