I took up your recommendation and had a meal at Casa Saltshaker during a recent trip to BsAs. I must admit to being very disappointed with the whole experience. Food was amateurish, with poor menu construction, confusing and confused flavours and bad execution of most dishes. The atmosphere was also a bit strained; our hosts did little to help and gave the distinct impressions of oversized egos which "demanded" we appreciate subtleties and nuances which just were not there. While price was not really an issue (everything in BsAs food scene is eminently affordale) I felt we got very poor value. Maybe a one off, but I would not recommend to anybody.

Wow! That's quite a recommendation/honor you've given us! Thanks for the commentary - every detail helps us improve dishes in the future. As to the cheesecake, it's one of those things that I just don't get - while I have a "secret" recipe, it's not all that out of the ordinary - I think alot of it is simply the ingredients - we make our own cheese to go into it, so we know it's fresh and not made with anything artificial, and the rest of the ingredients are as fresh and pure as we can get them. Makes a difference, no?
